What Would You Do? With John Quinones - ABC News

ABC's hidden camera, ethical dilemma series "What Would You Do?" just lost a viewer. They champion their program on putting bullying and abuse in the public eye, and question those who stop it, and those who don't. Yet in an episode tonight they set up a situation where a married couple is dining out in a bar, and when she leaves for the bathroom her husband makes out with guy. Obviously this is betrayal and the wife should be alerted, and the husband deserves flack, but one table of macho Italians made gay insults and homophobic slurs when threatening the actor portraying the gay lover. Two wrongs don't make a right, but apparently, John Quinones thinks so. He congratulated the intolerant guys, and didn't even try to correct their behavior for making discriminating remarks. My jaw dropped watching it unfold. It would be the same if he was cheating on her with a Mexican lady, and instead of saying it was wrong to cheat, they called her a home wrecking wet back. It makes both parties look idiotic and hostile.

ABC should be ashamed of themselves for such an obvious opportunity to correct discrimination, but instead make their program extremely hypocritical and shining a magnifying glass on themselves for moral bankruptcy. Shame.

Automobile

PRIUS PRIUS PRIUS!!! It was drilled in my head by every television ad, show, and media outlet. So I of course, being the regret queen, went ahead and bought one right away. I visit my parents over the weekend, and my father bought a brand new 2012 Civic Hybrid CVT AT-PZEV with Leather and Navigation, for $2000 LESS than what I paid for my car with 10000 miles on it, and his car is ten times nicer than mine. Why didn't I wait and shop around?

Did I mention my lovely flat tire? I had no clue how to even put air in it, the employees over at Exxon must have had a good laugh watching me try to figure out the air station for an hour having a nervous breakdown, erm. Maybe its not too late to trade mine in and not take a serious loss?

New Specs

Well after a lengthy episode with my insurance and optometrist I finally was able to get a much needed new pair of specs. Not only do I need glasses for vision correction, but they serve as eye protection. The contacts I was using were making my eyes so dry and itchy, and I was so comfortable with glasses that I started accidentally bumping everything into my eyes, yes, ouch.

So without further delay, here are the new specs I went with, keep in mind I had a small collection to choose from, I didn't want to go too young, or appear like an old lady.
